Months later, Ivo and Seli became Bellweather’s first pair of listening mapmakers.
They drew public roads in vermilion, shared places in forest green, and private places only when invited. In the corner of every map, they left one small patch of undecorated parchment.
Not a lie. A promise.
And whenever someone unfolded the map with honest hands, its golden arrow pointed north.
