The observatory was not canceled. Its scholars met Northbank’s residents and moved it to the eastern ridge. Plans began for a bridge and a small school above the ferryboat bakery.
Some councilors still complained. Some Northbank families still distrusted Atlas House. A corrected map could begin an argument; it could not finish one.
Master Orra hung the old blank survey beside the new map, so nobody could forget either.
