At the hilltop, Ivo saw red survey flags surrounding Northbank.
A new observatory was planned for the “unused” land. Once its foundation was poured, the wheeled houses would be pushed into the marsh.
Ivo laid the Great City Map on the grass. Streets burst across its blank space in green ink. For one bright moment, the golden arrow found north.
Then the map rolled itself shut.
